Call for Entries
The Susquehanna Art Museum’s DŌSHI Gallery is seeking entries for a juried show of members’ works of art. The exhibition will be held in the Whitaker Center from Saturday, June 22 – Thursday, August 22, 2013. Membership to the Susquehanna Art Museum is required for submission.
Title: Warmth of Light, Chill of Night
During the June 21st summer solstice, the sun will reach the highest point in the sky. This will be our longest period of daylight during the year. As winter fades and we move into spring, our environment will change significantly. We will have longer days and the sun will warm the earth. How will the change in season alter what we see and feel around us? Artists are asked to consider the effects of sunlight and seasons on color, atmosphere, shadow and other artistic elements.

Important Dates
Submission Deadline: Friday, May 24th
Drop-off work: Monday, June 10 th – Friday, June 14th 10AM-4PM
Show dates: Saturday, June 22 – Thursday, August 22, 2013
Pick-up work: Monday, August 26th – Friday, August 30st 10AM-4PM
Drop-off and pick-up of artwork should be done during the above scheduled hours. Appointments must be scheduled with Amy Hammond, Exhibitions Manager at 233-8668, ext. 4 or ahammond@sqart.org. Without advanced notification, Museum staff may be unable to accept submissions or return artworks
